SKIN RESEARCH & VALIDATION

Skin Models and Multidimensional Efficacy Evaluation

We address skin barrier function, sensitivity, pigmentation, photodamage and ageing through a comprehensive efficacy and safety evaluation system. Through in-house R&D, commercial partnerships and academic collaboration, we develop skin models and human evaluation methods for diverse consumer needs, studying mechanisms of action, in vitro and human efficacy, and safety across multiple dimensions and the full research process.

OVERVIEW

Botanee connects mechanistic studies with layered efficacy and safety evaluation. Computational methods help generate hypotheses; laboratory and human studies provide the evidence needed to test them.

01

Start with a defined skin question

Research begins with specific needs such as barrier impairment, sensitivity, inflammation, ageing or photoprotection, then selects models and endpoints appropriate to that question.

02

Use complementary models

Cell studies, proprietary and collaborative 3D skin models, ex vivo skin and human evaluation each answer different questions. No single experiment substitutes for the complete evidence chain.

03

Evaluate efficacy and safety separately

Efficacy and safety are assessed through distinct methods, with conclusions limited to the sample, conditions and population studied.

04

Connect computation with experiments

Computational biology and AI can support active screening, target exploration and data analysis, but predictions remain hypotheses until experimentally validated.
